The 30th European Cell Death Organization (ECDO) Conference will focus on the theme “Cell Death at the Crossroads of Neurodegeneration and Cancer”, offering a comprehensive scientific programme with a broad basic and clinical focus. The agenda will cover diverse aspects of cell death, putting a special emphasis on addressing molecular mechanisms of apoptosis, necroptosis and autophagy and exploring its implications in neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. Additionally, it will focus on the metabolic control of cell death, delve into fundamental aspects of cell death in cancer and highlight related clinical applications. Lastly, the event will as well address the complex relationship between cell death and inflammation.

Like any traditional ECDO Conference there will be poster sessions as well as short (12+3 min.) and flash (5+2 min.) talks for researchers who submitted an abstract. The conference will also host 4 prize ceremonies: CDD prize, ECDO Honorary prize, Juerg Tschopp prize and Poster prize.

In addition to the several networking moments and an opening ceremony on 9 October, a Gala dinner will be organised on 10 October near the conference venue (to participate to the Gala dinner, a “gala dinner” ticket must be purchased during registration).

Finally an Industry exhibition will be present on site during the whole duration of the conference.
